MAKE is the brainchild of Freddie Main, Head of Design & Technology at Merchiston, Edinburgh. Freddie has over 11 years of experience teaching D&T and brings his expertise and enthusiasm that has seen great success for his pupils in the Young Engineer for Britain competition, the Technology, Design and innovation awards, the prestigious Arkwright Scholarship Trust and CREST awards along with great academic success.
“I believe that all kids should be encouraged to develop their natural creativity and have opportunities to experiment, play and just try things out. MAKE Summer School aims to give its ‘Apprentices’ the confidence to ‘have a go’ by offering practical activities that develop useful skills, are a lot of fun, and bring a real sense of satisfaction and achievement.”
